Weight Watchers at Work begins at USF Health
Keeping your New Year’s resolution to lose weight is now easier.
The USF Health Wellness initiative is offering a Weight Watchers at Work program beginning this week that includes a 17-week series of meetings held at both the USF College of Nursing and the South Tampa Center. Running these meetings is Mandelyn Hutcherson, a USF Health employee in Development and a Weight Watchers success story.
Hutcherson lost more than 65 pounds on the program and is lending her success and enthusiasm to USF Health employees eager to lose weight.
“Today I am proud to say I have lost 65 pounds, discovered a new-found sense of accomplishment, confidence and a healthier body and mind than I’ve ever had,” Hutcherson said. “I hope by bringing Weight Watchers at Work to USF Health, we can all lead healthier lifestyles and embrace USF Health’s new wellness initiatives.”
The first meetings (one on campus, the other at STC) kicking off the 17-week series are:
• Tues., Jan. 6, 11:45 a.m. in STC 5051C at the USF Health South Tampa Center.
• Weds, Jan. 7, 11:45 a.m. in room 2005 in the College of Nursing.
Weekly meetings will be held January through April with confidential weigh-ins starting at 11:45 a.m., and the meetings beginning at 12:15 p.m.
Didn’t have a chance to attend an information session to register? Faculty, staff and students can still register either by attending a meeting or by sending an e-mail to USFWellness@health.usf.edu.
The cost for the 17-week series (with E-tools) is $186 (10.94/week). There are three ways to pay to reserve your place:
• Credit Card
• Check (dated Jan. 6 and made out to Weight Watchers)
• Split payment by check (3 checks of $62, make all payable Jan. 6, however the checks will be deposited at the beginning of each month of the series: the first one beginning of January, the second beginning of February and the final beginning of March.)
An additional promotion for USF members includes discounted registration! A 50 percent off registration will be raffled at the first meeting in January, as long as 25 members sign up, and if 30 or more join, 75% off registration will be offered for one lucky member!
