Kevin Sneed, PharmD, elected Chair of Cultural Health Initiatives Committee St. Petersburg, Fla. (Sept. 2, 2010) — Dr. Kevin Sneed was elected to the American Heart Association, Greater Southeast Affiliate board of directors. He is slated to serve as Chairman of the Cultural Health Initiatives Committee during the association’s 2010-2011 fiscal year. USF Health group provides care in a forgotten corner of Haiti

Javier Cuevas, PhD, thought he was prepared for the abject poverty he would see in Haiti. Dr. Cuevas, associate professor of molecular pharmacology and physiology, and a team of other USF and Tampa Bay medical professionals arrived in the small Haitian village of Dilaire in June. It was what they believed to be the village’s first medical mission. USF Health wins key $6M School of Pharmacy funding

TAMPA, FL  (June 4, 2010) — USF Health can now move forward with plans to establish its new School of Pharmacy, thanks to approval by the Florida Legislature, which awarded $6 million in the budget signed last week by Gov.
