The University of South Florida (USF) Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Scholars, Nicole Harder and Sandrine Urias, organized a Walk MS Tampa Team comprised of faculty and students from the USF School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (SPT&RS). Walk MS is sponsored each year by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) and was held at Al Lopez Park in Tampa on April 5, 2019. Nicole and Sandrine were joined on the walk by Dr. Jeannie Stephenson and a group of 20 first and second year DPT students. The USF STP&RS Walk MS Tampa Team raised over $2,500 for NMSS programs and research this year.
Walk MS happens in cities all over the United Stated to bring together passionate people who connect in communities nationwide and raise funds to change the world for everyone affected by multiple sclerosis. With nearly 300,000 people fundraising and volunteering each year, Walk MS has generated more than $1 billion toward our mission. The USF MS Scholars have organized a team for Walk MS Tampa every year for the past five years.
