Last week over 300 University of South Florida (USF) students representing USF Tampa, USF St. Pete, USF Sarasota-Manatee, and USF Health traveled to Tallahassee for the annual USF Day at the Capital. Among those students were four of our second year DPT students Devina Gilmore, Justin Reynolds, Ali Cochrane, and Nora Nour who represented the Morsani College of Medicine and the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences. Throughout the day students met with several elected officials to help explain priorities for USF, and to better understand the how state policy works.
The day ended with a special reception to recognize USF System President, Dr. Judy Genshaft. Dr. Genshaft plans to retire from USF effective July 1, 2019 making this her last USF Day at the Capital.
