Stroke, a journal of the American Heart Association, has published an original contribution of a collaborative manuscript by Dr. Hiroto Ishikawa (1st author) and 2nd author, Naoki Tajiri, PT, PhD, Assistant Professor in the School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences and the Department of Neurosurgery & Brain Repair. Dr. Cesar V. Borlongan of the USF Center of Excellence for Aging and Brain Repair (CABR) served as corresponding author, and seven other authors also collaborated on the manuscript. The study examines the role of stem cell–mediated vascular repair in stroke.
