An article by Naoki Tajiri, PT, PhD, Assistant Professor in the School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences and the Department of Neurosurgery & Brain Repair, appears in the September, 2013 issue of Neurobiology of Disease. Dr. Tajiri; Dr. Yuji Kaneko, Assistant Professor at the USF Center of Excellence for Aging and Brain Repair (CABR); and Dr. Hideki Shojo of the University of Yamanashi in Japan were equally contributing first authors of the manuscript. Dr. Cesar V. Borlongan, Professor at CABR, provided oversight on the manuscript, titled “DJ-1 ameliorates ischemic cell death in vitro possibly via mitochondrial pathway.” Jack Burns and Meaghan Staples, both at CABR, also contributed as authors.
