Assistant Professor Douglas Haladay, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS, CSCS, has been awarded a New Researcher Grant by the USF Research & Innovation Internal Awards Program. His proposal was one of only 14 that the Research Council selected from a field of 54 applicants, and will be funded in the amount of $9991.
The proposed study, “An Exploration of Patient Views about the Meaningfulness of Pain, Disability, and Recovery Measures Used to Identify Success Following Treatment for Low Back Pain,” will examine the views of people with chronic low back pain about whether self-report measures of pain, disability, and recovery have the potential to capture meaningful changes in their status.
