Dr. William Quillen, Associate Dean of USF Health’s Morsani College of Medicine and Director of the School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences, has been invited to serve on the Credentialing Services Committee of the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE). The Credentialing Services Council made the selection based on his experience and expertise as a clinical specialist and in clinical teaching. In accepting the appointment, Dr. Quillen agrees to serve at least 2 years on the committee.
The ABPTRFE is the credentialing body for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) for postprofessional residency and fellowship programs in physical therapy. Credentialing is a process used by APTA to ensure the quality of the education that participants receive in residency and fellowship programs in physical therapy. It is a voluntary, nongovernmental, peer-reviewed process that occurs on a regular basis.
