Research on Traumatic Brain Injury Is Published

A study examining the pathological link between traumatic brain injury (TBI) and Alzheimer’s disease has been published by PLOS ONE, an international, peer-reviewed, open-access, online publication that features reports of original research from all disciplines within science and medicine. Dr. Naoki Tajiri, PT, PhD, Assistant Professor in the School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences and the Department of Neurosurgery & Brain Repair, is 1st author on the article titled, “Traumatic brain injury precipitates cognitive impairment and extracellular Aβ aggregation in Alzheimer’s disease transgenic mice.” It is available online http://dx.plos.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0078851.
