SOCRA
An abstract, titled “Development and implementation of a web-based system to enhance delivery of back and core exercise interventions for clinical trials” by Jennifer Libous, MS, Clinical Research Administrator, and Dr. John Mayer, Lincoln Endowed Chair of Biomechanical & Chiropractic Research and Coordinator of Research for SPTRS, has been accepted for a poster presentation at the 23rd Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) Annual Conference in Orlando, FL on September 19, 2014.

SoCRA was established in 1991 as a non-profit, charitable, and educational organization aimed to promote quality clinical research, protect the welfare of research participants, and improve global health. SoCRA provides education, internationally-recognized certification programs, and networking opportunities for fostering professional development and peer recognition of clinical research professionals to individuals involved in clinical research activities.

Jennifer will present a case report describing the development and implementation of a web-based exercise intervention in a multi-phase research initiative designed to assess the effectiveness of worksite exercise interventions for low back injury prevention in firefighters. The strategies utilized to develop and implement an intervention demonstrate a feasible and effective process to identify, evaluate, and address barriers and facilitators to implementing an intervention and determining an innovative solution.
