Assistant Professor Douglas Haladay, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS, CSCS, has been named a participant in the U.S. Bone and Joint Initiative, Young Investigators Initiative (YII) program. His participation will begin with the Spring 2015 Workshop in the Chicago area April 24-26, 2015.
The United States Bone and Joint Initiative (USBJI) is dedicated to raising public awareness and to increasing research of musculoskeletal diseases in the US, because basic and clinical research in the this area is not keeping pace with the increasing burden of these diseases in the U.S. The Young Investigators Initiative is a grant mentoring and career development program aimed to provide early-career basic and clinical investigators an opportunity to work with experienced researchers in the field and assists them in securing funding. It is open to promising junior faculty or senior fellows or post-doctoral researchers who have been nominated by their department or division chairs.
