Faculty Present At 2020 USF Virtual Critical and Creative Thinking Conference

USF Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Faculty Wendy Herbert, PT, PhD, Associate Professor, Rebecca Ditwiler, PT, DPT, OCS, Associate Professor, and Stephanie Hart Hughes, PT, MSMS, NCS, Associated Faculty Member were invited presenters at the 2020 USF Virtual Critical and Creative Thinking Conference held on September 29, 2020.  The faculty presented an interactive workshop titled “Fostering Critical Thinking & Clinical Reasoning Skills Through Concept-mapping”.  They provided evidence to support the use of concept-mapping as both a learning and an assessment tool, and also shared their personal experiences with successfully using concept-mapping in the DPT curriculum.  They led participants in a lively discussion about incorporating concept-mapping into their curriculum as a learning strategy and also a means of measuring student understanding of key concepts.
