Dr. Jamie Holloway’s article on The Interdependence of Motor and Social Skill Development: Influence on Participation was recently included in the Physical Therapy Journal of the American Physical Therapy Association. This issue was a special one that focused on Infant and Child Development: Innovations and Foundations for Rehabilitation. Her article co-authored with Dr. Toby Long discusses the interrelationship between motor skill performance and participation by specifically addressing the social interaction component of participation for typically developing children and children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
