Dr. Naoki Tajiri, Assistant Professor in the School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences and the Department of Neurosurgery & Brain Repair, has co-authored a chapter in Melatonin and Melatonergic Drugs in Clinical Practice. The chapter, “Melatonin: Therapeutic value and neuroprotection in stroke” was a collaborative effort of Dr. Tajiri and colleagues including Dr. Franzblau, Dr. Franzese, Drs. Gonzales-Portillo, Dr. Staples, Dr. Kaneko, and Drs Borlongan. The book covers basic physiologic functions of melatonin and its therapeutic applications in humans for a variety of clinically relevant disorders. It is published by Springer with S. Venkataramanujam and SD Shillcutt as editors.
