Dr. Naoki Tajiri, Assistant Professor in the School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences and the Department of Neurosurgery & Brain Repair, was an invited speaker at Tampa General Hospital’s Neuro Trauma Update on October 23. Dr Tajiri presented “Traumatic Brain Injury: A Review of Clinical Management and Current Basic Science Research” in collaboration with Dr. Siviero Agazzi, Associate Professor in the USF Health Department of Neurosurgery.

The program gave participants an update on the most current research underway in post-TBI treatment, including stem cell treatment followed by rehabilitative therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen treatment followed by rehabilitative therapy.
