Rebecca Edgeworth Ditwiler, PT, DPT and Board-Certified Orthopaedic Specialist was recently promoted to the rank of Associate Professor. She has been with the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences for over nine years, and has assisted with various mission areas. Her original appointment consisted of working in our USF Health Physical Therapy Center providing clinical PT services to patients in the Tampa Bay community. While in the PT Center she also assisted as a clinical instructor for DPT students, and helped oversee the undergraduate observation program.
Dr. Ditwiler still maintains a small clinical practice at the USF Health PT Center, but in recent years has transitioned to take on more academic responsibilities within the USF DPT program. She teaches Foundations 1, Intro to Physical Therapy, Professional Issues 2, and has assisted with various other DPT content areas in the program. She has also been an active member within the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA), recently stepping down as a Board Member representing the West District. She has also presented educational sessions at both FPTA and American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) conferences, and has presented her research and posters regionally and nationally.
