Students from USF Health DPT Class of 2017, Ms. Valerie Dickinson and Ms. Jamie Dolley, presented a poster at the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) in New Orleans, along with faculty member Dr. Jeannie Stephenson, Assistant Professor.

The CMSC annual meeting is the largest North American Multiple Sclerosis meeting with educational content. The focus is to provide clinicians and researchers with the latest information on the science of MS, clinical tools, and the knowledge to enhance care of individuals with MS.

Ms. Dickenson and Ms. Dolley are scholars in the MS STEP UP program, led by faculty sponsor, Dr. Jeannie Stephenson. DPT students in this program gain insight and experience in the areas of MS examination, intervention, community service, and advocacy. Their poster summarized data collected over the past four years on changes in MS Competency Rating Scale scores among USF MS Scholars. Students in the MS STEP UP program demonstrated improving competencies in the area of MS care by analyzing the program from beginning to end.
