USF Health SPTRS held their annual Commitment to Professionalism Ceremony on Thursday, October 19th, in the USF School of Music Hall. The DPT Class of 2020 is the largest matriculating DPT class to date, as 50 students received their white coats to symbolize their commitment to professionalism and the field of Physical Therapy. Additionally, Dr. Laura Swisher, Interim Director, summarized the first year class data, whose average GPA was a 3.71 and is recognized as the most geographically diverse class.
Keynote speaker, Dr. Justin Moore, CEO of the American Physical Therapy Association, along with other USF Health Associated Deans, faculty, and staff were in attendance to witness this significant event. As the students received their coats, Dr. Swisher reminded them of the significance and representation the students have when contributing to their field.
