Congratulations to Dr. Jeannie Stephenson of the University of South Florida (USF) School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (SPT&RS). Dr. Stephenson received the National MS Society’s Impact Series 2017 “Care Partner of the Year” award for Florida. She was nominated by Carroll Franklin of the NMSS Mid Florida Chapter and received this award at the Impact Series Conference at Sea World in Orlando, FL in Nov. 2017. Dr. Stephenson coordinates the USF MS STEP UP program which is a collaboration between the NMSS and USF SPT&RS to prepare Doctors of Physical Therapy with advanced knowledge and training in examination and treatment of individuals with MS. Along with the MS Scholars, Dr. Stephenson is very involved in community service on behalf of individuals with Multiple Sclerosis.
