The Affordable Care Act, Health Insurance Marketplace, and you
October 1 is less than a month away.
As implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) draws near, one of the most important issues for individuals and families is how to assure that they have taken full advantage of the Health Insurance Marketplace.
To assist the USF community and general public with navigating this process, the College of Public Health is partnering with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to host “Negotiating the Health Insurance Marketplace.”
The information session is scheduled for Wednesday, September 25 from 4-5pm. Attendees will receive the latest practical information on the topic and learn how implementation of the Affordable Care Act affects them.
Session facilitators include Donna J. Petersen, ScD, dean of the College of Public Health and interim senior vice president of USF Health, and Dr. Renard L. Murray, regional administrator with CMS.
The session is free and open to all members of the USF community, as well as the general public. For those unable to attend, the event is streamed live over the internet.
The College of Public Health is located at 13201 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, Florida. Click here for a map and directions. For additional information, please call (813) 974-9301.
