Dr. Adewale Troutman writes book chapter on social determinants

University of South Florida College of Public Health Professor Adewale Troutman, MD, MPH, recently published a book chapter in Social Determinants of Health Among African-American Men.  He co-wrote the chapter (17) entitled The Culture of Empowerment and the Policy Process with his daughter, Nandi Marshall.  The book is published by Jossey-Bass, A Wiley Imprint, 2013.

Dr. Troutman holds a faculty appointment in the USF College of Public Health and directs the Center for Leadership in Public Health.  Additionally, he directs the Public Health Practice Program, which offers a MPH degree in online and executive weekend formats.

In November, Dr. Troutman was installed as president of the American Public Health Association.
