COPH hosts short films of reflection, hope and humor
LUNAFEST is a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for and about women. This year, Girls on the Run Greater Tampa Bay has been selected to host LUNAFEST to raise money for its scholarship program and will share proceeds with the Breast Cancer Fund.
Girls on the Run Greater Tampa Bay inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. As one GOTR girl put it, “My favorite part was the finish line, everyone is just cheering you on and it’s awesome. I was really tired but I kept going because I knew I could do it. It was the best day of my life!”
LUNAFEST selected films compel discussion, inspire laughter, tug at heartstrings and motivate viewers to make a difference in their communities. Incredibly diverse in style and content, LUNAFEST is united by a common thread of exceptional storytelling—by, for and about women.
