COPH alumnus receives Thomas Chalmers Award

Rahul S. Mhaskar, PhD (GH,’10), MPH and a team of researchers with the USF Health Clinical Translational Science Institute/Evidence-Based Medicine group received the most prestigious honor in the field of evidence-based medicine—the Thomas Chalmers Award by the Cochrane Collaboration.

The announcement was made at the Nineteenth Cochrane Colloquium in 2011 and acknowledges the teams’ work entitled “True methodological quality of trials is not reflected in their reporting.”

Mhaskar was the lead author on the study. Currently, he is a faculty member in the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.
