Thanking the Silent Teachers [VIDEO]

“>

First-year medical students held a Silent Teacher Memorial Friday, April 20,  in honor of the generous individuals who donated their bodies to contribute to medical education.    Following some words of prayer and thanks, the students launched colorful lanterns skyward.

“Without these bodies we would not be able to educate our students,” said Orhan Arslan, PhD, director of anatomy educational services at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. “This (learning about anatomy) is the bedrock of medicine.”
